Rare Breeds Dog Day - Book Your Place
On Saturday 25th March 2023, we are hosting an educational event for rare breed dog owners and rare breed dog societies – titled ‘Using Science To Save Our Breeds’
As many breeders are aware, there are many UK native canine breeds that are at risk of extinction. Our educational day aims to highlight the plight of these breeds and educate on the technologies available to assist in sustainable breed futures.
Speakers include Dr Andy Dell & Prof. Philippe Wilson from Nottingham Trent University, Dr David Hughes from Elite Kennel Fertility, genetic preservation specialists from supporting company Gemini Genetics and much, much more..
Our day aims to bring together those who represent various breeds and discuss of the main hurdles facing UK native at risk and vulnerable breeds. We want to equip owners and breeders with knowledge on the technologies available in the industry, to help rare breed populations incorporate such technologies into their breeding programmes.
Admission is free, with food and hospitality provided.
At the end of the day, a discussion panel will be held, where breed challenges and opinions on the technologies can be voiced.
